East Chicago recycling company’s prototype could help turn plastics into fuel

One group of entrepreneurs claims that a new initiative to recycle plastic bags could be a solution to the issue, following an I-Team investigation that revealed some of the shortcomings of the recycling programme.

The recycling business Telfer Inc. in East Chicago, Indiana is the source of the prototype, which has the potential to convert shredded plastic bags and other plastics into gasoline. In the end, the machine might contribute to waste reduction.

President of Telfer Inc., “I think we have a system that could really be beneficial for the world,”

stated Dean Hemmersbach.

Because they can get stuck in recycling facilities’ machinery, thin plastic shopping bags cannot be placed in ordinary recycling bins. Read more-
